PDO thread lifts use dissolvable surgical sutures to rejuvenate your skin, lift and support your face, and restore volume. During the treatment, these tiny threads are passed beneath the surface of your skin to contour areas affected by aging for an immediate natural-looking lift.

There are three types of PDO threads that work in different ways to rejuvenate your skin:

• PDO mono threads: These smooth threads are used to stimulate collagen production, making some effects of your lift last after the threads have dissolved.
• PDO screw threads: If you want to address a sunken appearance, these intertwined threads restore volume to your face.
• PDO cog threads: Micro-extensions (sometimes called “barbs”) on cog threads can instantly lift and support your skin.

Thread lifts are a low-risk treatment that can be performed safely by a trained provider like those at Serenity Facial Aesthetics and Spa. Because PDO thread lifts are so minimally invasive, recovery time is generally two weeks or less.

Immediately following the treatment, you might see slight bruising, swelling, or redness, but the risk of severe bruising or bleeding (like you might see with a traditional facelift) is virtually nonexistent.
